Welcome to Third Grade

Dear Third Grade Parents and Students:

I am very excited to welcome you to Third Grade! Our year is off to a great start, and I am very excited to be working with all of you this year.

If you have your two summer reading books at home, please remember to bring them to school. We will be using these books immediately to work on writing projects and to take Accelerated Reader tests.

I also encourage students and parents to use the online resources available for our textbooks. These websites provide great resources and practice for students while studying at home. Links can be found under "Classroom Links" on this page.

Homework Reminders:

-Please remember to study your addition and subtraction basic facts every night

-As we begin our Wordly Wise lessons, be sure to study your spelling or vocabulary words every night to prepare for Friday tests

-Every night, students must read a minimum of 20 minutes, which they will record in their planner and then have signed by a parent

-All assignments must include the student's full (first AND last) name, as well as the student's assigned number
