What Information is required to complete an admission application?

To be considered for admission to St. Raymond School, all families must submit an online admission application for each child.  All other supplementary forms required for admission to to St. Raymond School may be found in the application portal and returned for review electronically.

Important notes:

• St. Raymond School requires both Report Cards and Teacher Recommendations to complete your child’s admission file through the application portal.

• The cutoff date for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten placement is September 1.

Please note, a completed application, along with supplementary forms and the $100 application fee is required and must be submitted before your child can be scheduled for a student visit or student assessment.
 

Priority applications are due by January 29, 2026, including

• supplementary forms (Report Cards and Teacher Recommendation(s)
• student visit and assessment (Grades K-8)
• parent meetings

Student Visits and Assessments

Once a completed online application form is received by the Admissions Office, a Student Visit Day appointment may be scheduled through the Admissions portal. A Student Visit Day begins with an academic assessment. Once the assessment is completed, the rest of the Student Visit Day will be spent in the applicant's current grade.

All visiting students should arrive at the school office at their scheduled appointment time. 

• Kindergarten: Students applying to Kindergarten visit St. Raymond School for the Kindergarten Readiness Test (KRT).
• Applying to Grades 1-4: Applicants spend half a day with students in their current grade level.
• Applying to Grades 5-6: Applicants spend a full day at St. Raymond School, joining their current grade level and having opportunities to sit in with subject teachers in the grade they are applying to.
• Grades 1-8: Applicants will take the Star Reading and Star Math assessments as well as a writing sample.

When or how does my child complete their assessment?

The assessment will be scheduled on an alternate date of your child’s shadow day. All assessments are age and developmentally appropriate. The assessment is currently being administered by St. Raymond's Student Success & Teacher Support Coordinator.

Parent Interview with the Principal

At St. Raymond School, we believe a strong partnership between home and school is essential to each child’s success. As part of our admissions process, we invite parents to meet with the principal for a personal interview. This conversation provides an opportunity for parents to share their hopes, values, and expectations, while learning more about our school’s mission, Catholic identity, and educational philosophy.

The interview is designed to be open and welcoming, allowing the principal to better understand each family and answer any questions about our academic programs, faith formation, student life, and community values. Our goal is to ensure that families feel informed, supported, and confident in their decision to join the St. Raymond School community.

Meeting with the Pastor

As part of the admissions process, families are invited to meet with our parish pastor. This meeting provides an opportunity to share your family’s faith journey and to learn more about the spiritual life of our parish and school community. The pastor will discuss the importance of Catholic education, the role of parents as the primary educators of their children in faith, and how our parish partners with families to nurture each child’s spiritual, moral, and academic growth. 

Admissions Notification and New Family Information

Once your child has completed the application process, the Admissions Committee will meet to review the applicant's file. For classes with available space, we can immediately offer an enrollment agreement through the application portal to accepted students.

After this step is completed, the Director of Enrollment will be in touch regarding the application status.

Enrollment Agreement and Registration Fee

To enroll your child at St. Raymond School, families must accept the offer by returning the signed enrollment agreement and the non-refundable registration fee by the agreement date via the application portal. All payments, including tuition, are processed through Finalsite Enrollment.

After your child’s enrollment is complete, the Admissions Office will send information on the next steps and give access to our new family portal.

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance is available for families who are committed to attending St. Raymond School through the Archdiocese of San Francisco tuition assistance program, the BASIC Fund, and the Sister Ann Bernard O'Shea Scholarship Fund. The Archdiocese of San Francisco awards grants to families living within the confines of the Archdiocese (Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties), on a need basis until funds are exhausted.
